Delphi Intercultural Forum is an initiative of the <strong>Intercultural Unit at the University<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> of Patras<\/strong> (Laboratory of Sociology and Education, Department of Educational Science<br \/>\nand Early Childhood Education) and it is placed under the auspices of Council of<br \/>\nEurope (Intercultural Cities Program) and both the UNESCO Chair on Cultural<br \/>\nDiversity and Intercultural Dialogue for a Culture of Peace (University of Nicosia) &amp;<br \/>\nthe UNESCO chair in Gender Equality and Women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Empowerment (University of<br \/>\nCyprus), as well as other research bodies. It takes place during the 2015 European Week<br \/>\nof Local Democracy titled \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Living together in multicultural societies: respect, dialogue,<br \/>\ninteraction\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. This theme echoes an inclusive approach towards diversity in modern<br \/>\npluralistic societies and active citizenry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Invited academics, researchers, practitioners and political stakeholders will discuss<br \/>\ncommon policies and practices in managing and rethinking diversity in a productive<br \/>\nway. The <strong>Delphic method<\/strong> will be applied to enhance reflection on:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-Narratives of inclusiveness and xenophobia, transformative practices, civic<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">pluralism and citizenry;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-Migration policies in a globalizing context;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-A framework of Intercultural dialogue (on migration and integration issues);<br \/>\nand<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-A new research agenda for multicultural community building and intercultural<br \/>\nlearning. A modern intercultural paradigm projects new narratives of reflection,<br \/>\ninclusiveness and learning. From political correctness and the argument of<br \/>\nrights we are moving towards an agenda of intercultural learning capabilities<br \/>\nnecessary for global citizens.
